(Salem, OR) -- The number of registered voters in Oregon is at the two-point-five-million mark for the first time. The Secretary of State's Office says the figure surpassed two-million-500-thousand by the end of September. That's about 36-thousand above the tally at the end of August. Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins predicts that a quarter-million new registrants will have signed up because of Oregon's new Motor Voter Act.
