Portland Police, Community Working To Reduce Traffic Deaths

(Portland, OR)  --  Portland police and the Portland Bureau of Transportation are working to reduce traffic deaths.  Police and volunteers were out on Division Street to stop people for any violation they see.  It was a response to the high number of traffic fatalities in Portland which totaled ten in the last month.  The patrol last night was part of the Vision Zero program, which aims to bridge the gap between police and pedestrians to enforce safety on the road.
