(Warrenton, OR)  --  A portion of the Columbia River remains closed as firefighters continue to battle the Eagle Creek Fire.  The Coast Guard established a safety zone Tuesday from mile marker 126 to 146 east of Portland.  Coast Guard crews are evaluating vessel transit requests for that area on a case-by-case basis.  The Coast Guard says crews will remain in the area to continue to assess conditions on the river.
