(Hillsboro, OR)  --  Washington County can't blame an inmate for killing his ex.  A judge yesterday denied an attempt by county lawyers to show that negligence in a 30-million-dollar wrongful death suit was on the part of the killer.  The judge ruled that the jury should "compare the fault of all responsible parties," including the county that gave him a work pass.  Eric Petersen was found guilty of beating and stabbing his former girlfriend to death while he was on leave from a prison.
