Substation Fire Kills One, Burns Over 50-Thousand Acres

(The Dalles, OR)  --  Crews continue to battle the deadly Substation Fire in The Dalles.  The fast-moving fire has burned more than 50-thousand acres since starting Tuesday and has killed at least one person.  Authorities found the body of that person in Wasco County yesterday.  Authorities believe the person was using a tractor to try to build a fire line when they were overtaken by flames.  Several communities in the area have been evacuated.  Governor Kate Brown has declared a statewide wildfire emergency.  She's also implementing a plan that frees up National Guard resources to fight the fire.
