OR Independent Leaves Governor Race, Endorses Brown

(Salem, OR)  --  Oregon's Independent Party candidate for governor is dropping out of the race.  The Oregonian reports that Patrick Starnes is throwing his support behind Governor Kate Brown, since she supports campaign finance reform.  That was Starnes' main issue during the campaign.  Polls show Brown with a narrow lead over Bend Republican Knute Buehler.  The general election is next Tuesday.
