(Portland, OR) -- Dozens of teachers are gathering in downtown Portland tonight to call for greater education funding. KATU-2 reports teachers plan to gather at the Pioneer Courthouse Square for a rally around 5 p.m. Portland Association of Teachers President Suzanne Cohen says Portland's schools are currently functioning at around 75-percent of what could reasonably be called a "floor of stable funding." Teachers are encouraging parents, students and other supporters to take part in tonight's event.
