(Portland, OR)  --  A police officer is recovering from injuries following a shootout with a suspect in Milwaukie.  Police say 30-year-old suspect Douglas Teter was wanted on several charges when the officer attempted to make contact with him in the area of Southeast 42nd Avenue and Monroe Street Saturday night.  Police say Teter and the officer exchanged gunfire before Teter fled the scene.  The injured officer was hospitalized for leg injuries and is now recovering at home.  Police tracked Teter down and arrested him shortly after the incident.
