(Portland, OR) -- A man is facing half a dozen charges in connection to a struggle with police that ended with him being shot at the Portland International Airport late last week. Court records show 31-year-old Deshawn Deandre Seamster was arraigned in court yesterday on six charges, including assault of a public safety officer and felon in possession of a firearm. Police say Seamster was lying down at the airport baggage claim Friday when an officer approached him, leading him to allegedly try to flee. A struggle ensued, ending with Seamster accidentally shooting himself in the hand, according to police.
