Two-Alarm Fire Burns Waste, Recycling Center

(Portland, OR)  --  An investigation is ongoing into a two-alarm fire at a waste and recycling center in Oregon City.  Clackamas Fire responded to the blaze at the South Metro Transfer Station on Washington Street yesterday afternoon after a 20-by-20-foot trash pile caught fire.  Officials say 35 people were evacuated from the building.  No injuries were reported.  It's not yet clear what caused the blaze.
