(Portland, OR) -- A student at Portland State University is filing a lawsuit against the city after she was injured by a police flash-bang grenade during a protest over the death of George Floyd. Julia Leggett says she was walking away from police during a protest on Friday when officers intentionally launched a flash-bang grenade at her, hitting her in the leg. Leggett says the blast produced a hematoma in her leg that required immediate medical attention. Her leg has since become infected. Leggett says she's seeking a fair compensation ranging between one dollar and 450-thousand dollars.
