Protesters Hold Car Parade In Place Of Usual March

(Portland, OR)  --  Protesters calling for an end to systemic racism in law enforcement skipped their usual march last night in favor of a car parade.  Rose City Justice says it cancelled its nightly march due to what it calls "unacceptable behavior during rallies," saying it needs to take a time-out in order to address the issues.  The group says those issues include the silencing of marginalized black voices, particularly queer black voices.  Instead of marching, dozens of protesters held a car parade near Southwest 4th and Main, honking their horns in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
