88th Night Of Protests End With Riot Declaration, Tear Gas

(Portland, OR)  --  Protests against police brutality and systemic racism ended with police declaring a riot and deploying tear gas last night in Northeast Portland.  The Oregonian reports more than 300 protesters marched to the Portland Police Bureau precinct building in Northeast Portland last night.  Police deployed tear gas and other munitions after someone lit an awning on fire.  Last night was the 88th consecutive night of protests in Portland sparked by the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis in late May.
