Oregon Reports Five COVID-19 Deaths

(Portland, OR)  --  Health officials are confirming five new coronavirus deaths in Oregon along with 212 new cases.  The Oregon Health Authority reported the new numbers yesterday.  There have now been a total of 438 deaths in the state and 25-thousand-761 cases since the pandemic began.  Oregon Health Authority Director Patrick Allen says the number of COVID-19 cases is down, along with the percentage of positive tests, but the numbers aren't low enough for students to return to school.  He's urging Oregonians to take precautions over Labor Day weekend to avoid gatherings of more than ten people.
