PGE Cuts Power To Five-Thousand Customers Due To Fire Risk

(Portland, OR)  --  Thousands of Portland General Electric customers are in the dark due to wildfire risks.  PGE says it started cutting power to about five-thousand customers near Mount Hood last night as the area experiences hot, dry and windy conditions.  The outage is expected to last between 24 and 48 hours.
