(Portland, OR) -- The city of Portland is paying out nearly one-million dollars in a wrongful death settlement to the family of a man killed by police last summer. The Oregonian reports the city has agreed to pay 975-thousand dollars to the family of 31-year-old Lane Christopher Martin. Police shot and killed Martin during a disturbance call on July 30th of 2019, just one day shy of Martin's 32nd birthday.
