(Portland, OR)  --  One person is dead after being hit by a freight train in Beaverton.  The Beaverton Police Department says the person was trying to cross the train tracks at Southwest 139th Way and Tualatin Valley Highway yesterday afternoon when a cargo train crashed into him.  The person died at the scene.  An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
