(Portland, OR)  --  Crews continue to make progress on the Riverside and Beachie Creek fires.  Fire officials say the Riverside fire is 54-percent contained at 138-thousand acres as of last night.  The Beachie Creek fire is 59-percent contained at 193-thousand acres.  Fire officials say neither blaze is growing in size.  Firefighters are responding to new hot spots inside of the fire lines as they occur while working to strengthen existing lines to protect structures.
