(Portland, OR) -- Three people are facing bias crime charges in connection to separate incidents in Multnomah County. Police say Dennis Timmins is accused of using hate speech and violent behavior against two African American TriMet bus drivers. Kathleen Kennedy is accused of using hate speech against a family from Latin America and throwing her smoked cigarettes in their yard. And, Tyler Burroughs is accused of spitting on and using hate speech against two African Americans. This year, the Multnomah County District Attorney has issued 27 bias crimes cases.
