14 Arrested, Four Charged In Wednesday Night Protests

(Portland, OR) -- Police say officers arrested 14 people Wednesday during demonstrations in downtown Portland. The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office says four people are being charged, and police are investigating the remaining ten cases to determine whether charges can be filed. The four people who are being prosecuted are facing charges of riot, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. More than 100 people took to the streets of downtown Portland Wednesday night to protest the inauguration of President Joe Biden. Police say the demonstrators smashed windows at the Democratic Party of Oregon's Portland headquarters and threw rocks and eggs at the ICE building.
