(Newberg, OR) -- Fire officials say four people and their dog escaped a house fire in Newberg yesterday afternoon. Firefighters responded to the home to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the garage and spreading to the home's interior. Officials say smoke alarms alerted the residents, and they safely got out. The Red Cross is helping with temporary housing. No word yet on what caused the blaze.
