(Portland, OR) -- A 58-year-old man is facing several charges after a welfare check led to the discovery of a stolen car, illicit drugs and a gun. The Portland Police Bureau says officers were responding to reports of a man passed out inside a vehicle in a parking lot near Northeast Wasco Street and Grand Avenue early Sunday when they determined the car was stolen. The officers also found a loaded pistol on the passenger seat and searched the vehicle to find over eleven grams of methamphetamine along with heroin and 27 pounds of marijuana. Police arrested Robert Chambers on several charges.
