OR Senate Passes Gun Control Bill

(Salem, OR) -- The Oregon Senate is passing a bill allowing cities and counties to prohibit guns in public buildings, including schools. The bill passed 16-to-seven yesterday without any Republican support. The bill would require a notice to be posted at entrances to all buildings with a universally recognized symbol that guns aren't allowed, even for people with concealed handgun licenses. The bill now moves to the House.
