(Portland, OR) -- More than 100 people gathered in downtown Portland last night to hold a vigil for a Black teenage girl killed by police in Columbus, Ohio. Participants gathered at Pioneer Courthouse Square with candles and signs in honor of 16-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant. A police officer shot and killed Bryant Tuesday while responding to a fight. Police say Bryant was holding a knife and trying to stab two people when the officer opened fire. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is looking into whether the young Black teen's shooting was justified.
