Murder Defendant Sentenced To Life In Prison

(Portland, OR)  --  A man who pleaded guilty to a 1999 murder in Portland has been convicted of killing another man in 2020.  In 2019, forensic genealogy was used to identify Christopher Lovrien as the suspect in the murder of Mark Dribin.  While investigating Lovrien for Dribin's murder, Kenneth Griffin was reported missing.  His body was found in a shed behind Lovrien's home.  A Multnomah County jury found Lovrien guilty of killing Griffin.  He was serving 20 years in prison for the murder of Dribin.  A judge sentenced him to a life term following his original sentence.  Lovrien, who's 56 years old, will serve 46 years in prison before he's eligible for parole.
