(Portland, OR)  --  Diego Valeri celebrated his 30th birthday by tallying a goal and an assist as the Timbers defeated Toronto, 2-1, at Providence Park yesterday afternoon.  Fanendo Adi found the net for Portland in the 17th minute with his seventh goal of the season.  Will Johnson tied it at one late in the first half for Toronto.  Valeri's goal in the 74th minute secured the win for the Timbers.  Portland improved to 3-3-and-3 with the win.  The Timbers will face the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday afternoon at BC Place.
