(Corvallis, OR) -- Oregon State baseball's Pat Casey will not be returning to the Beavers' dugout next season. Casey, who turned 60 in March, abruptly retired from coaching last September after spending 24 seasons at the helm in Corvallis. He is the winningest coach in program history, boasting an overall record of 900-458-and-1 with three College World Series titles. Athletic director Scott Barnes says a nationwide search for Casey's replacement is already underway.
