(Portland, OR)  -- The Timbers lost 1-nil to DC United on an own goal at Providence Park Sunday.  Bill Tuiloma slid to try and clear the ball and knocked it into his own net in the 25th minute.  Diego Valeri hit the woodwork in the 16th minute on a header off a cross that would've given Portland the lead.  Despite the loss, the Tims are in seventh place in the West with 43 points through 29 matches.  They have at least one game in hand on every team in the conference.  Portland will host the Red Bulls Wednesday night.
