Oregon State Falls Short Against Stanford; Ducks Back After Bye

(Corvallis, OR)  --  The Beavers staged a fourth-quarter comeback to fall short against Stanford 31-28 at Reser Stadium.  Jet Toner buried a 39 yard field goal with one second remaining to lift the Cardinal to the win.  Jake Lutton threw for 337 yards and a touchdown while Artavis Pierce had 141 yards rushing and two touchdowns.  Isaiah Hodgins had 10 catches for 162 yards and a score in the loss.  State will visit UCLA Saturday.  Meanwhile, after a bye, number-13 Oregon will host Cal Saturday at Autzen.
