Mariners Reliever Hector Santiago Ejected For Foreign Substance

(Chicago, IL) -- Mariners reliever Hector Santiago was ejected for having a foreign substance in the first Mariners-White Sox game on Sunday. Santiago became the first MLB pitcher to get ejected for the new rule when it happened in the fifth inning. After the game, Santiago said that he was only using rosin and that his sweat made it appear like a foreign substance.
