MLB Doesn't Plan To Reschedule Missed Games

(Jupiter, FL) -- Major League Baseball is planning to shorten the season should the league's current lockout continue. An MLB spokesman said on Wednesday that "A deadline is a deadline. Missed games are missed games. Salary will not be paid for those games." That was in reference to Monday's deadline, which was set in order to avoid moving Opening Day, which is scheduled for March 31st. After a third straight day of negotiations with the Players Association, the sides again failed to come to terms on a new collective bargaining agreement.
