NCAA Men's Tournament

One week ago, it was 64....today, it's down to the 'sweet-16' which tips off Thursday to decide the men's NCAA college basketball championship.

16-teams remain alive, and Saturday, one of the four #1-seed teams was eliminated in defending national champion Baylor being ousted losing to North Carolina in overtime, 93-86.

The overall #1 seed Gonzaga advances to its 7th straight 'sweet-16' as the zags came from behind in Portland Saturday to beat Memphis, 82-78.

The zags face Arkansas Thursday at 4pm in San Diego in the west regional semifinal.

Elsewhere, #1 seed Kansas in the Midwest advances, and the fourth #1 seeded team Arizona managed, in overtime, to get by a tough t-c-u team last night, 85-80.

The pac-12 champion wildcats head to San Antonio and meet Houston Thursday.

UCLA moves on, also, after the bruins 72-56 win over St. Mary's.

So, there are 4-games Thursday starting with Gonzaga playing Arkansas. Michigan meets Villanova. Duke battles Texas tech, and...Arizona facing Houston.

On Friday, 15-seed St. Pete plays Purdue, Kansas faces providence, UCLA and North Carolina clash, Miami meets Iowa state.
