(Arlington, TX) -- The Angels are getting some good news on the status of their star outfielder. Los Angeles announced Sunday that the X-rays on Mike Trout's left hand came back negative and that he is considered day-to-day. Trout took a hit to his hand by a pitch in the fifth inning of the Angels' 8-3 win over the Rangers in Arlington. The outfielder was pulled from the game after he spoke with Angels trainer Mike Frostad and manager Joe Maddon.
