The Bend Elks racked up 13 hits en route to an 8-1 victory over Walla Walla Wednesday night.
The Elks jumped out to a one-run advantage in the first inning and never looked back. Designated hitter Beau Sylvester hit his fifth home run of the season to lift his team to victory.
Bend, 17-10 is tied with Ridgefield for third place in the South Division and just one game behind the Corvallis Knights who lead the way. The Portland Pickles are just a half-game back of Corvallis.
