Elks Season Ends, Pac 12 (4) latest, Thorns Draw

College Football:

The fallout from 5 schools announcing Friday they intend to leave the Pac 12 after this season continues as speculation heats up on what conference the four remaining teams will be playing in. There is the possibility of merging with the Mountain West which includes Boise State, Nevada, and San Diego State. The Big 12 could be a possibility for Oregon State if that conference wants to continue expansion west after taking in Utah, Arizona, and Arizona State Friday… OSU and the other three remaining schools, Washington State, Stanford, and Cal are expected to make some kind of decision soon.  The Pac 12 television deal not being supported by Washington and Oregon is what led to the conference exodus, according to Arizona State’s president, Michael Crow.

The University of Oregon released a statement Friday saying its teams would still compete against Oregon State. Likewise, the University of Washington said its teams would still play Washington State. Both the Ducks and Huskies will be in the Big 10 conference starting in the 2024 season.
