Bend North Falls in LLSWS, Olympic Sprinter Tries Out For Oregon Football

College Football:

The latest on Conference realignment: The ACC is looking at adding Cal and Stanford…The Mountain West is considering Oregon State and Washington State.

Oregon State coach Jonathan Smith told media yesterday he wasn’t sure if the Beavers would continue their rivalry games with the Ducks…also players were following the drama of the conference upheaval but mostly focused on what’s happening at camp.

At Oregon Camp, Olympic Sprinter and NCAA Champion Micah Williams is trying to make the Ducks receiving corps. Williams hasn’t played football since his freshman year of high school but as Coach Dan Lanning told the media yesterday ‘you can’t coach fast’.

College Basketball: The OSU Men will play against Baylor November 22nd in the NIT Season Tip-Off in New York. The Beavers were previously announced as part of the 4 team tournament in May. Now we know they’ll play the Bears first, and then either Florida or Pittsburgh.

NFL:

The Seattle Seahawks have their first preseason game tomorrow. They will likely give a lot of time to QB Drew Lock who is trying to be the backup to Geno Smith after competing for the starting spot with him last season. The Seahawks continue to see running backs get banged up with rookie Kenny McIntosh spraining his knee Friday, He could still be back for the start of the season. Yesterday rookie defensive back Devon Witherspoon sat out practice with a wrap on his leg. Coach Pete Carrol didn’t talk to the media but is scheduled to today, and may give an update who will play tomorrow when they host Minnesota.

MLB:

The Mariners shutout San Diego two to nothing. The Ms have a six game win streak. The series against the Padres finishes tonight. First pitch is at 6:40.

San Francisco lost 7 to 5 to Anaheim. The Giants are four and a half games behind the Dodgers and still first place in the wildcard. They play the Angels again tonight at 6:38
