College Football:

Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has been named to the Great 8 list for the Davey O'Brien Award, and is one of eight Manning Award Stars of the Week. Oregon State moved to 16th in the Associated Press Top 25 poll. The Beavers stay ranked 18th in the USA Today Coaches Poll.The Beavs have their home opener against UC Davis Saturday night.

Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr and Washington State’s Cam Ward were also named to the O’Brien Great 8.

Oregon’s big win got them moved up two spots in both the AP and Coaches poll to number 13 in the rankings…The Ducks have a good early season road test in Lubbock against Texas Tech this Saturday according to coach Dan Lanning. Hear more from during the Oregon Coaches show tonight at 7 on KBND.

NFL:

The Seattle Seahawks will have their first game week practice today. And the latest team injury report should reveal a lot more about the state of the Seahawks defense. The Rams are at Lumen Field to start the season this Sunday.

In San Francisco there is no deal yet…The contract holdout of Nick Bosa continues. Tight End George Kittle’s status should clear up a little too when the injury report comes out… The 49ers start the season Sunday at Pittsburgh. 

MLB:

The Giants were out-slugged 11 to 8 by the Cubs yesterday in a back and forth game. San Francisco continues to scuffle, dropping their 5th straight…and falling two games out of the wildcard. It's a getaway day in Chicago as the series wraps up. First pitch is at 11:20.

Seattle lost in a walk off 7 to 6 in Cincinnati yesterday after giving up a 6 to 3 lead in the 8th… The loss drops the Mariners a half game behind the Astros for the division lead. They have a half game lead over the Rangers for the second wildcard spot. The series against the Reds finishes today at 3:40.
