Beavers, Huskies, Ducks on CFB Watchlists

College Football:  

The Offensive Lines for Oregon, Oregon State, and Washington have been named to the Midseason Honor Roll for the Joe Moore Award for the Most Outstanding Offensive Line Unit in College Football. Oregon leads the nation in scoring (48.5 PPG) and is one of just two teams (LSU) to rank in the top 10 in both rushing (8th, 221.67 YPG) and passing offense (9th, 331.7 YPG). Oregon State is fourth in the Pac 12 in rushing yards per game (195.1). The Huskies lead the bowl subdivision in passing yards per game (424.7).

Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning, and Washington’s Kalen DeBoer have been named to the watch list for the 2023 Paul "Bear" Bryant Award. That’s for the nation's top head coach.

Ducks defensive end Brandon Dorlus and offensive lineman Jackson Powers-Johnson made the midseason watch list for the Lombardi Award, given to the country’s top lineman.

Number 12 Oregon State has their bye this week. 

Number 5 Washington hosts Arizona State Saturday.

NFL:

Seattle Cornerback Devon Witherspoon is up for the Rookie of the Week honors after his play against Cincinatti last Sunday. The Seahawks are back home for a divisional game against the Cardinals this Sunday.

San Francisco Running Back Christian McCaffery could play after suffering a rib injury in the loss to Cleveland. The 49ers are on the road again in Minnesota Monday.

Basketball:

NBA-The Trail Blazers will look at rotations and different matchups this week as they prepare for the regular season opener next Wednesday against the Clippers. Final rosters have to be decided by Monday.

The Pac 12 Women’s schedule has been released: The Beavs host Oregon on December 31st to begin the final season of conference play.
