Summit In Boys Soccer 5A Final...CFB-Beavers Move to #12...UO Stays 6th.

College Football:

The new College Football Playoff Rankings are out. Oregon holds at number 6. Oregon State comes in at number 12.

Washington remains ranked number 5.

OSU is back home for Stanford this week. Their 7 and 2 record means the Beavers will have three straight winning seasons for the first time since 2006 to 09.

Oregon will take on unranked USC with a 7:30 kick-off Saturday night in Eugene. It’s the first meeting with the Trojans since 2020 and the first time at Autzen since 2015.

NBA:

The 3 and 4 Trail Blazers have been bitten by the injury bug early on. Anfernee Simons is expected to be out until next month after thumb surgery. Rookie Scoot Henderson has missed the last two games with a sprained ankle, and is questionable to return tonight. And now back-up center Robert Williams III will have knee surgery and could be lost for much of the season.  Portland plays in Sacramento tonight for a 7 pm tip-off against the Kings.

Soccer State Tournaments, in 5A Semifinals the Summit Boys beat La Salle Prep to earn a trip to the State Final on Saturday… Caldera Girls lost to North Eugene. The Sisters Girls lost to Valley Catholic in the 3A Semifinal
