Ducks' and Beavers' O Lines Recognized...Blazers Lose

Basketball:

NBA-

Portland fell 109 to 95 to Cleveland last night. Jerami Grant was the leading scorer again but his 17 points weren’t enough. The team shot just 37 percent and lost the rebound battle 47 to 30 as the team record dropped to 3 and 8,  losing five in a row.  The Blazers play the Lakers again tomorrow night in another in-season tournament group-stage game.

Oregon’s N'Faly Dante was named to the 2024 Wooden Award watch list. The Senior Forward is one of 50 players nationally up for College Basketball’s most prestigious player award. The Ducks take on Tennessee State tomorrow night. Hear the game on KBND.

The Oregon Women are in Arizona tonight to take on Grand Canyon University starting at 6.

College Football:

Oregon's offensive line has been named a semifinalist for the 2023 Joe Moore Award, given to the top offensive line unit in college football. Quarterback Bo Nix was also announced as one of 20 semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award. Oregon is the only FBS team to score at least 30 points in every game this season. The number 6 Ducks are in Tempe Saturday afternoon against Arizona State.

Oregon State’s O-Line is also up for the Joe Moore Award…and  quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is up for the Davey O’Brien, too. In the college football weekend’s biggest match up, the number 11 Beavers host the number 5 Huskies Saturday afternoon. 

NFL: 

San Francisco rested tackle Trent Williams at practice while he’s recovering from a sore ankle. He should return to practice today and be ready Sunday … The 49ers are dealing with a few injuries on the offensive line but they’re banged up defensive players are getting healthy as they prepare to take on Tampa this week. 

Seattle had tackle Abe Lucas back at practice yesterday but still may not play this week after injuring his knee in the first game of the season. Wide Receiver Tyler Lockett sat out practice yesterday due to resting his sore hamstring. Defenders Leonard Williams, Jamal Adams, and Jordyn Brooks also rested from practice.  This week the Seahawks are on the road at the Los Angeles Rams.
