Ducks MBB Wins...Ducks FB Honored

College Football:

Ducks wide receiver Troy Franklin was announced as a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award yesterday…going to the nation's most outstanding receiver. Franklin leads the Pac 12 in receiving while setting Oregon single-season records for receiving yards,  receiving touchdowns, and 100-yard receiving games. Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein was announced a semifinalist for the 2023 Broyles Award, which goes to the top assistant coach in college football. Quarterback Bo Nix has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the week for the second week in a row, and fourth time this season.  The Ducks offense remains the only team this year to score 30 or more points in every game.

Oregon State Running Back Damien Martinez was nominated for Offensive player of the week again. OSU is preparing for the 127th all-time meeting against the U of O, and perhaps the last time for awhile.

The College Football Playoff Rankings will be released later today.

In Pac 2 news, December 4th is the deadline for a ruling on Oregon State and Washington State’s motion to take control of the Pac 12 assets. December 4th is also the date the Transfer Portal opens.

 

Basketball:

NBA:

Portland announced they will assign rookies Rayan Rupert, Moses Brown, and Kris Murray to the Rip City Remix G League team.  Also Coach Chauncey Billups told reporters Sunday guards Malcolm Brogdon and Scoot Henderson could be back on the court as soon as this week as they recover from injuries. The Trail Blazers will try to halt their seven game losing streak when they play in Phoenix tonight in an In-Season Tournament game. Tip off against the Suns is at 6.

The Oregon Men’s team beat Florida A&M last night 67 to 54 to run their record to 4 and 0. Due to injuries the Ducks only had 8 scholarship players available. Oregon will stay in the state of Florida to play in the Emerald Coast Classic, beginning Friday against Santa Clara.

The Oregon Women are at Nevada tonight starting at 6:30
