Portland Falls To Phoenix...Bend High's Musgrave Grabs TD In Pack's Playoff Win

NBA-

The Trailblazers lost 127 to 116 to Phoenix last night. After a dismal road trip the team returned to Portland and looked good early on but gave up a first half lead and never recovered. It’s their fourth loss in a row dropping them to 10 and 29. Scoot Henderson did record his best game; dropping in 33 points, with 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Anfernee Simons had 28. But Shaedon Sharpe with a thigh injury and Jerami Grant with illness both didn’t play. The Blazers are off until Wednesday.

NFL:

The Seahawks have reportedly not yet interviewed any potential coaching candidates. They may be reconsidering Dan Quinn’s name on their list of potential head coaches after the Cowboy's performance yesterday against the Packers. League insiders report Quinn has drawn interest from Seattle and Washington.

Also during yesterday’s Green Bay playoff win former Bend High Lava Bear and OSU Beaver Luke Musgrave caught a 38 yard touchdown. The rookie had three receptions for 52 yards.

Green Bay will play at San Francisco Saturday night in the divisional round.

Oregon landed a top-ranked wide receiver out of the transfer portal at the end of last week. Evan Stewart played at Texas A&M last season. The junior provides another big time pass-catching option for the Duck’s offense.

Oregon State received another transfer commitment. Cornerback Sai Vadrawale recently announced on social media that he is leaving Cal for Corvallis. The freshman played in two games last season.

Multiple reports say the University of Washington is hiring Jedd Fisch to be their new head coach. Fisch, who spent the last three years turning around Arizona’s program, will replace Kalen DeBoer who left to be Alabama’s new coach.
