NFL:

San Francisco wide receiver Deebo Samuel is listed as questionable on yesterday’s injury report as he deals with a shoulder injury. The same one that caused him to miss games earlier this season. The 49ers are still expected to win by a touchdown over the Lions, and are favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Seattle Defensive Back Devon Witherspoon and Special-teams standout Jerrick Reed II were named to the Pro Football Writers All-Rookie Team.

College Football:

Oregon safety Evan Williams accepted his invite to the 2024 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on February 3rd. He’ll be one of five Ducks hoping to show-out to NFL Scouts. Running back Bucky Irving and quarterback Bo Nix were named first-team academic all-Americans yesterday.

Oregon State lost another player to former coach Jonathan Smith.  Idaho "five-star" kicker Martin Connington decommitted from the Beavers to follow Smith to Michigan State.

NBA-

The Trail Blazers lost in Oklahoma City last night. Last time they faced the Thunder it was a 62 point defeat. This time Portland only lost by two, 111 to 109 in a heart breaker. It was a close game throughout much of the contest but the Blazers came up just short.  Coach Chauncey Billups was ejected after two technical fouls late in the game with the resulting free throws allowing OKC to tie it up at 109 apiece. The Thunder then scored the go-ahead bucket and the Blazers couldn't match it. Scoot Henderson led the way with 19 points. Jerami Grant and Malcolm Brogdon both had 18. Anfernee Simons put in 17 scoring 8 of those in the 4th quarter. The Blazers are back at it tonight in Houston. Ttip-off against the Rockets is  at 5.
