Blazers Fall To Thunder...Ducks Out of Pac 12 WBB Tourney, OSU Vs Col today

NBA:

The Trail Blazers fought hard against the Thunder last night but the Western Conference’s second place team pulled out the 128 to 120 win. Portland closed to within four of Oklahoma City late but couldn’t quite pull off the comeback. Anfernee Simons got hot in the second half finishing with 29 points, Jerami Grant played his first game since Friday and scored 20. Duop Reath continued to show why the Blazers could trade Deandre Ayton in the offseason with a respectable 16 points, and five rebounds in 31 minutes. The Blazers have Houston at the Moda Center tomorrow night.

College Baseball:

Oregon smashed out 21 hits, four of them homers and beat Grand Canyon 13 to 5 yesterday. The Ducks stay in the Phoenix area to open the Pac 12 season with a series at Arizona State tomorrow.

College Hoops:

At the Pac 12 Women’s tournament Number 12 Oregon got rolled by number 5 Colorado. Today 4th seeded Oregon State plays the Buffs starting at noon. 

It’s the men’s regular season finale weekend. Oregon has Colorado at Matthew Knight Arena…Coverage starts at 5:30, tip-off at 6 tonight on KBND.

Oregon State tips off at 8 in Corvallis against Utah.

State Basketball tournaments this week - 

5A is at Linfield University in McMinnville. 

Boys from yesterday…Top-seeded Summit beat number 9 Mountain View 50 to 48 to face Woodburn tomorrow afternoon. 7th seeded Redmond lost 56 to 51 to number 2 Wilsonville. 

The 8 seed Mountain View Girls play number 1 Silverton at 1:30 today. Redmond is the 5th seed playing number 4 Wilsonville at 3:15 

In 4A at Forest Grove…number 7 Madras girls play number 2 Henley at 8:15, Madras boys are the 8 seed playing number 1 Cascade at 1:30, and the Cinderella Crook County Cowboys- seeded 14th, play number 6 Marist Catholic in the nightcap at 8:15.
