>>Fed To Announce Interest Rate Decision

(Undated)  --  Coming up in the business week ahead, interest rates will be in the spotlight.  The Federal Open Market Committee opens a two-day policy meeting on Tuesday, with an announcement on its decision due the following day.  Most analysts see the nation's central bank holding rates steady at three-point-five to three-point-seven-five percent.  However, some analysts aren't ready to rule out the possibility of a rate hike.  Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh, who has pledged to get inflation back to the Fed's two-percent target, is scheduled to hold a press conference following Wednesday's announcement.

>>Paramount Agrees To Wait On Warner Bros. Merger

(San Francisco, CA)  --  Paramount will not close its multi-billion-dollar merger with Warner Bros. until the court decides whether the deal violates antitrust laws.  The deal would combine two of Hollywood's five biggest film distributors, and two of the five major cable channel companies.  However, a coalition of states led by Democratic attorneys general filed a lawsuit alleging the merger violates a section of the Clayton Act barring mergers that would substantially lessen competition or create a monopoly.  Paramount Skydance Corporation reached an agreement with the California Department of Justice and the Writers Guild of America Friday to pause the deal until either the court issues a ruling or until June 1st, 2027 - whichever comes first.

>>Jaguar Land Rover Recalls Vehicles For Rearview Camera Issue

(Mahwah, NJ)  --  Jaguar Land Rover is recalling over 15-thousand vehicles to fix a possible defective rearview camera.  Federal regulators say insufficient drain holes could cause water damage and block the camera view when reversing.  It impacts the 2021-2025 Land Rover Discovery models.  Owners can take their vehicle to the dealership for a free replacement.  Officials say over 100 claims were filed.  No injuries or other related damages were reported.
