NOM appealed to the Supreme Court -- and Justice Kennedy says he needs more information from the parties in the lawsuit.

Kennedy hears emergency appeals from Oregon.  He is expected to either issue a ruling on NOM's motion or pass the issue on to the full court.

The Chairman of the National Organization for Marraige, John Eastman says he takes the request for additional information as a positive sign.
