Killed was 62 year old Daniel Lowry of Dolores, Colorado.

The Sheriff's Department says Lowry was planning to kayak Benham Falls and was likely scouting the area in preparation of that and fell down a 40 to 50 foot cliff on Saturday.

Citizens on the scene say the injuries he sustained in the fall, killed him.
