Conger did not seek re-eelction because he was running for the U.S. Senate, but lost in the primary to Monica Wehby.

The Bend Chamber is holding the forum between Republican candidates Dr. Kntue Buehler and Democratic candidate Craig Wilhelm.

Jamie Christman with the Chamber says you'll get good insight into the candidates.

"We'll take time with each candidate and direct questions to them and they'll get 90 seconds to answer.  They won't see the questions before hand.  This is an opportunity for the candidates to ask each other questions and then closing comments.  It should be very enlightening and engaging with everybody there."

The debate will be held at Volcanic Theater Pub Tuesday with a meet and greet period between 5 and 5:30 and the debate getting underway at 5:30.
