Homes within a half block radius of the leak Monday morning were evacuated for about an hour and the road closed for several hours.

The break occurred when crews were working to fix a water leak yesterday (Mon) morning just after 9:30, when they hit a two inch natural gas line.

The leak was fixed after the gas leak was stopped.
