The July numbers for Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson County remained unchanged last month.

But our job growth in Deschutes County has increased by more than five percent since last July.

Workforce Analyst Melissa Greenaway says it's been impressive.

"Deschutes County has already added over 3300 jobs over the past year.  And that makes it by far the top metropolitan area with the fastest job growth in Oregon.  And in fact, all three counties have had job growth better than the state and national average is spread across the whole region."

The majority of the employment gains were in the private sector.

The lack of change in the unemployment rate mirrors statewide and national trends.
